Why should you stay in a circular motion when you can get off the beaten track? This is my modification for the #HOOPERMODCHALLENGE . It's a minimalistic design that enables you to launch the marble by simply actuating a flexible lever. You can spin it as fast as you want, with the lever in home position it will stay on the circular path because of inertia. Once you're ready, push the lever (inside the loop) slightly, so the marble gets redirected onto the launching path. Tips: - Depending on the way you're holding it, you can operate the mechanism by pushing a little harder with your index finger or by pushing slightly with your middle finger. - Yes, it's a little difficult to catch. It may take some attempts. - By freezing your motion right before letting it go you can make the flight path more predictable. - Or you can give it an speed boost with the right movement. An altitude of about a meter is easily possible then. - The higher the density of the marble, the more inertia and higher launch. I used a 16mm glass marble lying around.
