RAB-16 Submuition

The RAB-16 is a high-explosive submunition designed for use in cluster munitions, intended to target personnel and lightly armored vehicles over a wide area. It is typically deployed from aircraft or artillery shells, dispersing multiple bomblets mid-air to maximize impact. Upon landing, it can detonate on impact or with a time delay, creating lethal fragmentation. Its effectiveness lies in its ability to cover large zones, making it highly destructive in open battlefields. However, like many submunitions, it poses a risk of unexploded ordnance (UXO), which can remain dangerous long after a conflict ends.
