Allosaurus

Allosaurus was a large theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 155 to 145 million years ago. Measuring up to 12 meters (39 feet) in length and weighing up to 2.3 metric tons, it was one of the top predators of its time. Allosaurus had a robust skull with sharp, serrated teeth and powerful, clawed forelimbs for capturing prey. Its diet likely included large herbivorous dinosaurs such as sauropods and stegosaurs. Fossils of Allosaurus have been primarily found in North America, providing extensive insights into the behavior, anatomy, and ecology of large theropod dinosaurs.
