I wanted a webcam for my Astroprint server, but hate the pi cam. I found a cheap one on Amazon; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D8BNRAM/ref=ohauisearch_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and removed the innards. It was only slightly larger that a pi cam. I remixed a pi cam desk mount that I liked the shape of and here are the results. Still have to find a spot to mount it... This thing was made with Tinkercad.
