Upgrade your Snapmaker U1 with a hinge that combines industrial strength with a "factory-plus" aesthetic. This design allows for a full 180-degree swing, providing unobstructed access to your build volume while maintaining the sleek, minimalist lines of the U1 enclosure. Why This Upgrade? Full Clearance: Eliminates the swing limitations of the stock hinges. Minimalist Profile: Engineered to blend seamlessly into the Snapmaker’s frame. Heavy-Duty Support: Designed with reinforced geometry to safely carry the weight of the original glass door without sagging. Recommended Filament To ensure the longevity and safety of your enclosure, please follow these material guidelines: Primary Choice: PETG, ASA, or ABS. These offer the necessary creep resistance and thermal stability for heated chamber environments. Advanced: Carbon Fiber filled filaments (PA-CF or PETG-CF) for maximum rigidity. Highly Recommended: PETG with PLA Support Interface A Note on PLA: Not recommended for the stock glass door. PLA may "creep" or deform over time under constant tension, especially if the enclosure gets warm. Only use PLA if you have swapped the glass for a lightweight Acrylic or Polycarbonate sheet. Technical Note: This model features precision tolerances. Ensure your printer is well-calibrated and your filament flow rate is dialed in for a perfect fit. Licensing & Usage Personal Use Only: Purchase of this STL grants you the right to print as many units as you need for your personal machines…
