Acrocanthosaurus

Acrocanthosaurus was a large theropod dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous period, around 113 to 110 million years ago. Measuring up to 11.5 meters (38 feet) in length and weighing up to 6 metric tons, it was characterized by its tall neural spines, which formed a distinctive sail or hump along its back. Acrocanthosaurus had powerful jaws with sharp teeth and strong limbs, indicating it was a formidable predator. Its fossils have been primarily found in North America, providing important insights into the diversity and adaptations of large theropods in the Cretaceous period.
