Pyroraptor (Pyroraptor olympius)

Beschreibung

Pyroraptor olympius is a extinct genus of French paraves dinosaurs, possibly a dromaeosaurid or a unenlagiid. The material used to describe this genus is scarce (claws and few bones and teeth), making its reconstruction relatively dubious. I based myself on more well known dromaeosaurids like Velociraptor and Deinonychus. the Pyroraptor genus is sometimes associated with the nomen dubium Variraptor, but recent studies seems to indicate that the validity of both genus are debatable... This model is a part of my French prehistoric animals collection. I designed these models with SculptGL, and posed it with Blender. The model is sized for 1/35 scale, but due to the dubious nature of my interpretation, the size is not precise. At 1/35 scale, the models are very small and delicate, and thus proved very complicated to print. I needed several tries to succeed in printing one.
