The Russian gunboat "Gilyak", 1898. Built in the New Admiralty, St. Petersburg. A gunboat of special construction, for operations in river mouths and off the coast. Since May 1900 in Port Arthur. She is known for her heroic participation in the storming of the Taku forts in 1901, during the suppression of the Ihetuan uprising. She actively participated in the defense of Port Arthur in 1904. She went to sea, supported troops, and patrolled. On November 19, 1904, she was sunk by siege artillery fire.
