I didn't like the master spools online as they would use a lot of filament and take a long time to print, so I got the center nut assembly of a small design, the inner cardboard tube from a roll of vinyl, and cut some 1/8" plywood on the laser for the flanges and spacers. I used this project to try out FreeCAD.
