This but of Antionous was found at Hadrian's Villa. Antinous (d130) was a Bithynian youth who was the favourite and companion of the Roman emperor Hadrian (76-138). Antinous drowned in the Nile and Hadrian founded the city of Antinopolis at the site of his death in his memory.
