This project came to us as an installation for a museum. The initial concept design from the engineering office was a single piece round basin. In order to keep costs low and to ease the build, delivery and installation, we proposed to build just the mould of a 1/16 slice of the circle. It was planned to build the 16 pieces in Polyester/Glass composite sandwich with 50 mm. core foam. The support structures of the interior walkways in stainless steel. The project was not finally forwarded.
