DESCRIPTION This is a sturdy, ergonomic 3D-printed hand sanding block designed to work with any strip of sandpaper you prefer. The system uses a simple two-piece clamp mechanism: insert the sandpaper around the main body, tighten the screws, and you’re ready to sand flat surfaces, edges, or tight corners with excellent control. The model consists of two printable parts: Main block Clamp piece Both parts are optimized for FFF printing and require no supports. Perfect for workshop use, woodworking, metal finishing, or hobby projects. Features: Two-piece clamping system using standard M3 hardware Works with any cut-to-size sandpaper strip Strong geometry for firm grip and stable sanding Optional EVA foam layer for improved fit and pressure distribution Source file (Fusion360) included for customization Required Hardware You will need the following common fasteners (not included): 2× M3 x 15 mm screws 2× M3 hex nuts 2× M3 washers Optionally: EVA foam strip glued along the perimeter for a softer interface and better sandpaper conformity Printing Recommendations Material: PLA, ABS, or PETG Layer height: 0.20–0.30 mm Walls: 3 perimeters Infill: 5–15% Supports: Not required Brim: Recommended when printing in ABS The STL files for both parts and the editable Fusion360 file are included.
