Description

Silent chinchilla wheel for 3D printing, mounted on bearings for smooth rotation and maximum comfort for the animal 30cm is recommended. General Description Large closed wheel with a smooth inner tread to prevent paw injuries. ​ Multi-part structure: tripod-shaped support, wheel with perforated flanges and central hub on bearings. ​ Designed to sit on the floor, stable and heavy enough once printed in PLA/PETG. ​ Mechanical Assembly The wheel axle is an M8x55 through bolt, secured in the support with an M8 nut embedded in the hexagonal recess of the foot. ​ The wheel spins on two printed hubs each containing a bearing, tightened on either side of the central disc. ​ A printed spacer/washer sits between the bearings to ensure proper spacing and avoid stress when tightening the bolt. ​ Fasteners and Inserts The two black flanges are screwed onto the central wheel disc using 4x M3 brass heat-set inserts. ​ Use 4x M3x20 hex socket cap screws to attach the flanges to the disc, leveraging the integrated M3 inserts. ​ All visible holes on the flanges are designed for these M3 screws to ensure a solid attachment without cracking the part. ​ Printing Recommendations Print the support with a normal infill rate (15%) for a stable and rigid base is enought. ​ Print the flanges with at least 3 perimeters for good strength around the bearings and inserts and 15% infill.
