Wax model of a prepared corpse by Museum der Universität Tübingen

Description

This wax model of a prepared male corpse originates from the collection of the Anatomical Institution of the University of Tübingen. The model was made in 1888 by the then world-famous manufacturer Mon Tramond, as per the signature "Mon Tramond / Prefecture & Supplier of Facultés / Anatomy Histoire Naturelle / Paris / Rue de l'Ecole de Médecine". The work is characteristic of the working technique of Tramond because it is formed of coloured wax organs, muscles and skin which was built around a real skeleton. The model was probably purchased by PJW Henke in 1888 - the purchase of "various skeletons" by Vasseur-Tramond cost more than 1948 marks, making it by far the highest expenditure on teaching materials for the budget year of 1887-88. | Download free and paid 3D printable STL files
