Description

Here you will find the basic model for making your own kill flash. Open your slicer and import the 3D model. Using the model size settings, you can adjust the diameter in the X and Y axes and also the strength of the kill flash. We recommend 3mm as the minimum protection strength and 10mm as the maximum. Create the internal structure with a honeycomb infill pattern. Number of perimeters 2. Do not put any top and bottom layers. Choose an infill between 15-25%. It is a good idea to experiment with this value and print a few test pieces and see when the bbs will not fall through the grid. Choose a slow printing speed, preferably 20mm/s. Turn on the retraction inside the model. You can choose PLA as the material. It is hard enough to block and slow down the bbs to a level that does not damage the optics or other optical equipment that you want to protect. You can of course test flexible nylons and other technical materials.
