this is a model of a moon goddess for a tabletop game. i imagine her with beautiful flowing white locks, and with dark skin. i don't think that people of colour get to see themselves depicted in god form, and I wanted an important goddess of the pantheon to be representative of women of colour. i think the lunar symbolism across the crown, (changing moon phases, and the headpiece on top) really add to a regal aesthetic. It also emphasises an important part of what I conceive of as important to a moon deity, which is an emphasis on transformation and change, as with the several faces of the moon. i think transition and transformative powers are a really prevalent trope with lunar theming, and wanted to capture this, as well as with iconic cresent shaped symbolism. I made this character as one of my players is an evil aligned character, learning to be good as she grows to appreciate the power of personal transformation. now as a cleric of this deity, who in my campaign is called Sephemi, the moonhaven, she is almost guided to be a light in the darkness.
