Book Drawers

Description

Set of mini drawers themed to go in a bookcase or on shelves alongside a set of books, with the aim of being both ornamental, and useful for storing small items (pens, dice, bookmarks, etc.) There is space for 4 drawers to be inserted, either plain with a finger-gap, or having a space to put a badge into the front, allowing for wide customisation. You can mix up with different filaments, or keep to one theme - darker colours typically work best alongside books, but it's up to you. This was designed to go alongside books that are 224mm tall, but you can scale as you see fit. Print the case (laid onto its back), two plinth pieces, and four drawers. The badge drawer has a slot for you to slide in a separate printing - some examples are included here, but taking one of the 'blanks' which are the right size to slide in, you can easily drop into tinkercad or another editor to add in your own motif or text. Some of the badges have holes in giving you the option to affix enamel pin badges, which is a nice way to display them. Some options are provided, but again they're very easy to edit to accommodate whatever you need! There are four runners which support a drawer each, and you'll see that each of the drawers has a small latch which clack neatly into a groove running up the inside of the case, just enough to hold them in place.
