Description

This project allows you to securely mount your camera inside your helmet, creating the perfect helmet camera setup for capturing immersive POV footage. The initial idea was to design the mount as a single solid piece. Unfortunately, given the complex geometry required to perfectly fit both the camera and the helmet's interior, printing it in one piece would have required messy supports and compromised the structural strength along the layer lines. By splitting the design into a two-part assembly, it has proven to be a much more durable and print-friendly alternative. With a little patience and a few drops of glue, it is possible to assemble a perfect and unobtrusive helmet camera mount. To use this mount, you will need the specific camera it was designed for, which can be purchased from here (https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005010418020484.html). Additionally, you will need 4 cylindrical magnets (6mm diameter x 2mm thickness) to securely lock the camera in place. One of the most important features of this project is its simple and non-destructive installation. The mount simply slides and locks directly into the padding of your helmet—no permanent modifications, screws, or sticky tape required on the helmet itself! For the assembly of the mount, it is formed by exactly 2 pieces that must be glued together after being printed. You will also need to glue the 4 magnets into their designated slots. It is necessary to use cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) or a strong epoxy. If you liked…
