I initially designed it to upgrade my analog HGLRC Wind5 Lite to VISTA system, but I'm convinced that it can match most of the 5 inch drone frames. In order to convert a frame designed for analog video to HD, you need to rise the canopy (a VISTA unit is about 14mm high, an analog VTX is only 2mm high). I could have chosen to change the 25mm stand-offs for 35mm ones, like HGLRC did, but higher is this type of canopy (4 stand-offs between 2 plates) the more it could be crushed during a crash. I liked the aluminium "EGG FPV" arches that were mounted on my LDRAC King Kong 200GT, so I decided to design a canopy using arches that can be printed in TPU. ADVANTAGES the canopy can't be broken (it can't even be teared off usign pliers!) the 5mm-7mm "blades" (arches) - when printed in TPU - can handle big crashes from the front or from the top (& from the sides as well because of the transversal stand-offs). One arch is 10g in TPU, 7g in PP. DIMENSIONS The 4 mounting holes of my canopy type A (the one matching exactly the WIND 5 frame) are spaced 24mm by 60mm ; in the canopy type B they are spaced 24mm by 65,5mm. The "window" (the inside area between the ends of arches & the bottom plate (which you can see the stack through looking from the side) is 40mm by 17,5mm. Arches are 35mm high. WEIGHT About 31g for a full canopy with stand-offs & screws (10 more than the skelton HGLRC one).
