Description

Modern destroyers are equipped with various weapons such as air defense, anti-submarine, and sea defense. They can perform offensive assault tasks in naval fleets, as well as air defense and anti-submarine escort tasks in combat fleets. They can also serve as support troops in landing and anti landing operations, serving as patrol, surveillance, reconnaissance, sea blockade, and rescue missions, as well as providing takeoff and landing for unmanned carrier based aircraft. The main responsibility of modern destroyers is to escort, and they also have reconnaissance, patrol, mine laying, and attacking shore targets. Their extensive combat functions make destroyers the most widely used modern naval vessels, represented by the Jumwater class destroyer and the Type 055 destroyer.
