Description

EASTERXCULTS Easter Egg "The Origin." My model concerning the Easter egg, is based mainly on the origins of this tradition, which moves as history tells us to the arrival of Christianity, these take a pagan tradition which believed that the arrival of spring was a time of renewal and fertility, therefore they used decorated eggs as a symbol of life. Christianity celebrates Lent, the death and resurrection of Jesus, I take as an idea the creation of my model, which is loaded with Christian symbolism, which I make a small description: the egg is supported by a base that conforms three nails which alludes to the nails that were used in the crucifixion of Jesus, the egg is wrapped with a crown of thorns, indicating the one that was placed on him. In the center and inside the egg I place a cross, with a cup and a host, referring to the delivery of the body of Jesus Christ, in this case it would be the resurrection of the same. Also on the top of the egg I place a plate with the letters "INRI" which was placed on the cross, and the egg is "protected" by two bands alluding to divine protection. I want to clarify that at no time my intention is to profane beliefs, much less offend any kind of beliefs, just try to capture a tradition in my model.
