The inspiration for this top comes from a discontinued Shire Post Mint product. When spun, "The rings will look to spin different directions as they change with the strobe aspect of smartphone video or 110V LED lights. The best effects are obtained in full sunlight with video taken from a smartphone." I printed the top in black and the inserts in white, but any contrasting colors should work. The inserts fit snuggly, but I used a drop of super glue to hold each one in place. You could also just use acrylic paint (or a Sharpie) to fill in the segments.
