The Leaf Ejector, like most items of this type, is intended to separate water from leaves & other solid matter within the guttering downpipe. It is designed to be an "add-on" to the downpipe but causing minimal disruption. It is designed for use with oblong downpipes of 98mm x 48mm internal cross section. It may be necessary to sand the corners for a snug fit. The Leaf Ejector should easily fit into a 98mm x 50mm hole (you'll need to cut this out) in the outside face of the downpipe. By not interfering with the other three faces, there should be no effect on the structural integrity of the downpipe. When fitted, a small "tray" will project from the front of the downpipe. There are a couple of studs on either side of the tray. These are for fitting a basket (not yet available) for when its not desirable to just have the leaf litter expelled willy nilly (like onto your nice clean deck for example). This may not be suitable if you: ~have a problem with large quantities of leaves ~have downpipes that are circular in cross-section If this is the case, you may need a different solution. If so, try checking out https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1685566 As PLA is biodegradable, I recommend printing with ABS. Scaffolding support may also be desirable due to the protruding studs on the sides (although I am considering ways of addressing this to make it more 3D printer friendly).
