Description

Description: Engineered for strength. Designed for scale. This modular kit replaces expensive commercial stands with a high-durability, glue-free assembly that can support even the heaviest certification manuals. This is a modular, heavy-duty book stand kit designed to be 3D printed on standard-sized beds (like the MK4S). It is fully configurable, supporting everything from a single medium book to two 4-inch spiral-bound manuals. Ideally suited for spiral-bound or hardbound books that stay open independently. Note: This is a technical build that utilizes mechanical fits rather than just glue. A PDF instruction manual with assembly photos is included. Background: My wife is working on a certification and needed a book stand that would support two 4-inch, spiral-bound books at the same time on a revolving tray. We did some shopping around and found some stuff but mostly it was very expensive, would take a long time to arrive or both. So, I decided to print one. The tricky part, of course, is that my MK4S can only print things up to 250 x 210 x 220 so I had to break it down into a bunch of pieces and assemble it after the fact. Given the weight of the books, I didn't want to rely on glue to hold it together, so it took a little design work. Inventory: Note: You do not need to print every file in the list. Choose between 'Universal', 'Left', 'Right', or 'NoCap' versions based on your preference (see Instructions). Filament estimates are based on a 15% Gyroid infill and a brim…
