I saw a project like this online, but it did not work for my setup, so I decided to recreate the project to be a little more universal. All you need is a pool skimmer net (bag type works best) and a 3/4" PVC pipe. Drastically reduce your pump wear and tear by not having it constantly clog up and loose prime. I use the top screw to hold the PVC in place and quickly remove it when not in use.
