easy print structural truss each segment is made from three identical sides, weighing a total of 18g per segment. vertical load rating (PLA): 22lbs (10kg) with a >2x saftey margin When I tested a segment printed in standard PLA with a weight of 18g (0.039lb), it withstood 47lbs (21Kg) vertically before buckling, and returned to it's original shape after removing the load. Q: why three parts per segment? A: this allows it to be printed flat, this improves the strength and print time significantly. Q: how do I assemble the parts and segments? A: with CA glue, or plastic welding them together with a soldering iron. (instructions provided)
