Description

An adaptable grid system using inserts to define grid borders. This allows boxes to have flat bottoms and saves plastic. A version of GridFinity with a focus on minimising plastic waste. This concept uses inserts for each grid line, allowing you to add or remove grid lines. This means you can have flat bottomed boxes, with a magnet only in each corner. Parts are: GridFinity-Efficiency-Baseplate - A single cell baseplate. To increase the number of grid cells just copy and past it every 42mm. GridFinity-Efficiency-Inserts - A set of 4 inserts to make the grid lines themselves. Just push them into place. GridFinity-Efficiency-Box_HighFloor - A box with a floor that is 3mm thick and is entirely flat. GridFinity-Efficiency-Box_LowFloor - A box with a floor that is 1.6mm thick, with a small raised section in each corner for magnets. Print a single cell and use that to test fit the inserts. You can fine-tune the “clip in/out” using the extrusion multiplier. No options for screws on these. Magnets only. Feel free to remix though.
