The eggbot from Trigubovich is really great. I made a view changes and extensions to adapt it to my needs.The height of the pin arm motor is adjustable.Since eggs are not spherical, the axis of the pin arm must be below the axis of rotation of the egg.The pin arm is moved by a spring.The pin arm and motor holder are also longer.The egg is held with suction cups.There is a holder for an Arduino/ motor shield.Here you can see this eggbot in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8WQV7YAamoIn my opinion, Arduino Leonardo together with a Adafruit Motorshield V2 is easier to use than a CNC Shield. Costs together less than 10 $.
