Description

Case uses a 40mm square fan and small HEPA filters. Optionally there is a cut-out for a Panel-Mount 2.1mm (or 2.5mm) DC Power Jack Socket. Several mounting options included (Bare box, GoPro mount and a slide on fitting*). extra parts required, eg on eBay: filters: see "chuwi ilife filter", for Robotic Vacuum Cleaner. (size approx 40x80x15mm) ~$3 in packs of 10. 12v 40mm fan. (40x40x10.5, 3mm self-tap screw, to 2mm holes on 32x32mm centers) ~$1.20 2.1mm or 2.5mm DC Power Jack Socket Panel-Mount Connector (~$0.50) *Originally designed for a Trinus 3D printer, the slide on block-support bolts to the end of the X-axis slider with 2 off M2.5 10mm screws (ie it goes up and down with the printer's extruder!). I should add, my Trinus is also in the mfr's enclosure, and though, clearly the arrangement of filter and extruder is not very efficient, to some extent the filter/fan is continuously circulating air and particles in the enclosure. After extruding 2Kg of black PLA, I do see some discoloration of the front of the filter (and this may or may not be PLA!) and the level of smell and dust/irritation I perceive (my being quite sensitive to dust allergies) is reduced, but not eliminated. Aside; the block-support will also hold Ikea model 330 12v LED fittings!
