Description

This is a threaded Insert for an MSA Millenium gas mask, decorated with the HexCorp logo and designed to work with an RGB LED module. Only tested with PLA so far, no supports should be needed. short version: Stick the LED unit in the back of the insert, put the white disc and logo plate in the front, press the rim cover over that. Then screw it into the front of your MSA, replacing the original threaded retaining ring. Long version: Everything is designed to press-fit together, so no glue should be necessary, although you can glue it together if you want. The LED module that this design uses is available on amazon or aliexpress (and temu probably idk), and comes with a remote that can turn it on/off and adjust the color, and will even work while the insert is installed in your MSA. You can find the LED unit here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256805446062143.html The LED module should fit very snugly inside the threaded insert. There is a small ridge in the center that will prevent the module from being pushed too far in, so it should stop after about 5mm or so. You may choose to glue it if the fit is too loose, this won't prevent you from unscrewing the back to replace the batteries. After installing the LED module, thread the insert into your MSA until it feels somewhat tight (You will need to remove the mask's original cover and metal retaining ring for this).
