Description

This is a model jet engine that I designed using Onshape. II haven't actually built this yet, but I'm working on it right now. In order to complete the build, you will need a few things:DC motor with 12mm inner diameter (Length under 25mm)5mm copper or brass tubing (Over 200mm should do)Power source for motor (Arduino or battery both work)Plastic bonder4x 5M x 20+mm bolts4x 5M nutsSome way to protect parts from intense heatI strongly recommend printing the combustion chamber and the "Just in casey tubey" in METAL. Otherwise they will melt within seconds of turning the engine on because the internal temperatures will reach thousands of degrees, while the plastics can only stand a couple hundred. In order to print them in metal, I would either use a metal 3DP company such as Protolabs or JLC3DP.**NOTE**Building this is not supposed to be an incredibly cheap and fast thing. This has taken me weeks, if not months of work to design and this is only the first prototype.
