Glass Lampshade Replacement (for 40 mm base)

Yet one more of the many lampshade STL files found online!About a week and a half before posting this, I bought my wife a small touch lamp for her nightstand. Unfortunately, it only survived about a week before getting knocked off the nightstand and onto the floor, shattering the original glass shade.I went online hoping to find a replacement shade, but I was shocked to discover that replacement glass shades were priced nearly as high as buying an entirely new lamp. That’s when it occurred to me that I could probably print a replacement myself for only a couple of dollars using transparent filament.Now, I could have simply downloaded one of the many excellent lampshade models already available online. However, I wanted to challenge myself and learn how to create something like this in Fusion 360 from scratch.I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an artistic person at all, but I still wanted to give it a try. This design represents where my skills are at the moment, and I wanted to share that journey with the community. Hopefully someone out there will enjoy it enough to use it themselves.Printed in transparent filament, the shade gives off a surprisingly nice glow and brought the little lamp back to life without spending a fortune.Happy making!
