Description

Here are the brackets and inserts to make a metal detector. I have found some interesting things with this device.I recently purchased a pulse induction nh-250 v2 circuit board from newhobby.eu and have completed a working metal detector with two coils also purchased from New Hobby. The large 14 inch coil works well for large deep targets and the 10 inch coil works well for coins and beach finds. The circuit is powered by a 4s 1300mah lipo battery. I used 1/2 inch PVC pipe which was sliced lengthwise and overlapped for the 14 inch coil form. 1/2 PVC pipe is also used for the shaft with a coupler in the middle for breakdown. Smaller PEX pipe was used for the 10 inch coil form. Handle is a bicycle part. The plastic bolt in the coil mount is from the hardware store, a common part used to hold down plastic toilet seats. You could also print one. The waterproof case for the circuit board is a sandwich box, probably could have done better. Standard metal detector coil connectors came from Amazon, GX16-5 pin aviation connectors.
