Why this Thing?I have storage problems in my very small and cramped workshop.I have been toying with the idea i had to make a local swing outshelf unit to hold tools required for that days work.I initially created a small pivot hinge to test the motion lociin the area i wanted to locate the unit.I realised that what i had initially designed was never going to takethe loads i wanted to place on the shelves.I redesigned the pivot and tested it over a week or so.This is the working version i have placed here.Here's a link to the playlist on my YouTube cannel where you can see it been tested andworking. its currently loaded for the planes that i use every day.I will add more storage as time progresses.https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLC6QB9hPF4DsParts required for a single unit as follows:-2 x Fixed-Plate-V2.stl2 x Large-Pivot-Pin-V2.stlThe following are optional - i did not use them.2 x Stiffener-Pin-V2.stlFasteners i used are No.10 x 1" and a 1/4 CSK wood screws.and i only used 2 in each part on the diagonals.I printed all the parts with Geeetech, plain white PETG.Cura settings:-Nozzle temp 225 Deg CBed temp 80 Deg C4 walls3 top and bottom layersCubic infill at 4mm spacing4mm offset raft, bottom and top layer only.The prints came out extremely robustwith these settings.My diametrical clearance is +/- 0.3mmThis gives a very nice fit and allows good motionwith fairly tight tolerance and reduces slop in the systemstip moment under load.Please see the included images.Note to…
