Description

This desktop speaker design uses the Dayton Audio RS75 full‑range driver mounted in a closed enclosure with a 25° upward baffle angle. The geometry improves on‑axis response in near‑field applications. I was limited on desk space and I wanted a speaker that I could place beneath my monitor, so I designed these 😁! The internal volume is 59in^3 which is a little larger than the minimum the manufacturer recommends for a closed enclosure. These little drivers perform great for some low-cost-near-field speakers. Parts needed (per enclosure): Either 4X M3 X 3mm heat set inserts with M3 X 8mm screws OR just use 4X M3 X 8mm plastic screws instead of heat inserts 4X TPU isolation feet (press-fit or glue for extra assurance) 14 ga. speaker wire is recommended
