Description

A prolific Scottish sculptor, David Watson Stevenson trained in Edinburgh and Rome. He created public monuments and portrait busts in marble and bronze. In 1901 he exhibited a bronze version of the statuette of Robert Louis Stevenson at the Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition in Dublin. This damaged plaster may have been made in preparation for its production. Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet and travel writer. He is best known for Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. His adventurous spirit and vivid storytelling reshaped modern fiction, blending imagination with psychological depth and moral complexity. Here he is shown with a notebook in his left hand, while his right hand may originally have held a writing implement. | Download free and paid 3D printable STL files
