Description

Small update: The diameter of the plastic choke (where you wind the cable) has been reduced from 40mm diameter to 35mm. The smaller version works similar to the bigger version, but is a bit more pleasing to look at and prints a bit quicker. There is no need to change the 40mm version to the 35mm version on already printed antenna's.This is a mobile Moxon directional antenna tuned for 446 PMR frequency use. The design takes into account dielectric loading where copper wire becomes electrically a bit longer when it's (partly) surrounded by plastic. To compensate, the actual design needs it's dimensions reduced ever so slightly.
