Samnite Megalithic Redoubt

Description

In the mountains of dry stone, the Samnites did not build walls… they carved war into the rock. Raised atop a jagged mountain pass, the Samnite Megalithic Redoubt commands the narrow crossings where invading armies advance—unaware they are already doomed. The Crown of the Ridge stands as both watch post and final stronghold. From its height, warlords observe the enemy column stretching thin through the defile below. Beneath it, the Stone Pass Bastion turns the terrain itself into a killing ground. Assailants are forced to slow, compressed between cyclopean blocks of stone, exposed to volleys of javelins and crushing downhill charges. Used together, the modules form a compact vertical fortress dominating the high ground. Separated, they become anchor points in a defensive network—controlling movement, creating natural choke points, and multiplying angles of attack.
