Description

This is a conceptual design of a prosthetic hand device that combines multiple actuator types to achieve realistic and functional finger movement. The main actuation system is based on Actuonix Linear Motors, which provide smooth and precise linear motion. These actuators are typically responsible for larger movements of the hand mechanism, such as opening and closing the palm or controlling overall grip force. For individual finger control, small N20/N30 gear motors are used. These micro geared motors are compact yet capable of delivering sufficient torque to drive each finger joint, enabling more detailed and independent finger articulation. By combining linear actuators with micro gear motors, the design achieves a balance between strength, precision, and compactness, making it suitable for advanced prosthetic or robotic hand applications where both power and fine motor control are required.
