A new breed of airborne pests has begun to infest the worldgate networks radiating from Junctionworld. Nicknamed the scythebots for their blade-like appendages, it is unknown if these are robotic pests unleashed by malevolent forces or a naturally-occurring vermin race of machine beings from some mechanized realm. They are aggressive in their expansion of territory and habitat, attacking those that bumble into their sensor range, particularly if the hapless victim is near their charging nests. Fortunately, they are more nuisance than threat to a properly armed and armored opponent, and are dispatched with decent ballistic or energy weaponry, even manipulator-held rifles, pistols, and scatterlasers. ______________ The Scythebots are an offshoot of the Project Abby full frame revision, and were created as a swarming hive of drones that surround that cursed type of mech. Here they are as a side option, useful as scenery additions, minor NPC threats for tabletop adventures, or even as personal drones (an unarmed drone is included in the pack), They can be mounted on a length of support sprue, brass rod, toothpick (cocktail stick to some of you), or coffee stirrer straw.
