The rectangular mirror case was developed with the aim of storing and protecting small pocket mirrors, ensuring safety and practicality during transport. The design consists of a rigid case composed of two articulated parts, which close precisely to enclose and protect the mirror set, preventing breakage, surface scratches, and other mechanical damage. The structure was designed to accommodate two mirrors with the following dimensions: 45 mm × 45 mm and 54 mm × 54 mm. The mirrors should be secured inside using contact adhesive, ensuring proper stability and alignment. The rectangular shape and tight fit guarantee that the mirrors remain firmly in place within the case, even during handling or transport. To enable the opening and closing movement of the case, a simple hinge-type articulation system was incorporated, achieved by inserting a small 1.75 mm filament segment between the two parts during assembly. This method provides smooth movement, low manufacturing cost, and good durability, while maintaining a compact and functional design. The project was designed for ease of 3D printing and manual assembly, and can be manufactured using materials such as PLA or PETG, which offer suitable rigidity, lightness, and good surface finish — characteristics ideal for a portable product intended for everyday use.
