Castletecture (https://castletecture.bdvnotepad.com/) is a modular system of medieval castles and miniatures, designed for 3D printing in 1:100 scale (18 mm). Inspired by 14th–15th century Europe, it balances historical realism with modular creativity — ideal for dioramas, tabletop games, or painting projects. Precise. Patient. Deadly. The mounted crossbowman is not a common sight on medieval battlefields — but when he appears, his shot can change everything. What’s Included One Mounted Crossbowman miniature. Equipped with a brigandine over mail or gambeson, a coif, and a chapel-de-fer, this soldier rides with calm confidence. A crossbow rests in his hands — powerful enough to pierce light armor, yet slow to reload, demanding strategy and discipline. On his belt hang a sword and dagger, for when the fight inevitably closes in. His horse carries saddlebags and bolts, ready for long patrols or sudden engagements. Historically, such troops were rare but invaluable. They served as skirmishers, scouts, or escort units, often protecting supply lines or ambushing advancing enemies. Their greatest strength was surprise — one well-placed bolt at the start of an engagement could shatter the momentum of a charge.
