Description

To boldly go where no one has gone before, these Playmates figures are gonna need a helm / navigation station to visit any strange new worlds, so here it is! This starship Helm / Navigation Console seats (2) 4" Playmates Trek figures. 2 styles of chair are included. I've found that most Trek 3D models have too many small details that simply don't reproduce well in a 3D print. This design is meant to look like a toy, which is in keeping with the Playmates cartoonish style figures. After all, this thing is meant for play and not just for display! The instrument panels are separate pieces that fit into holes in the console. This allows for printing the control deck flat on the buildplate to avoid layer lines on the slanted deck like in other models. A small dab of glue and you can make them permanent. The buttons are oversized so that they print nicely and can be painted easily. There's also a large, 1mm tolerance for fitting the panels in their holes. I understand not every one has a high quality printer, so the forgiving tolerance should still work well on older, less feature filled printers - like an Ender 3. The console deck and pedestal are hollow and chased with openings for any lights you may want to install. There are blank button panels included if you want to drill holes for LED's, or use stickers instead of raised buttons. I appreciate feedback. So, if there's anything you would like to suggest, either additions or modifications, please feel free to send me a…
