The device was developed to detect leaks in endoscope tubes used in digestive procedures, ensuring they are properly sealed and preventing liquid ingress during cleaning and disinfection, thus avoiding internal damage to the equipment. To protect the electronic components, a new housing was created to replace the old corroded metal structure. Made of PLA, the non-metallic housing provides resistance to moisture and oxidation, minimizes water splashes, increases system durability and reliability, and offers electrical insulation, lightweight construction, and mechanical protection for all the device’s electronics.
