Description

This is a 1:12 scale model of an early twentieth century front door for a church. It has a peaked Gothic arch shape, five panels, and knob with a decorative plate. There is also a model without a knob. This was made from a design published in the 1919 Monogram Millwork Catalogue of the Wilbur Lumber Company, which operated out of Waukesha, Wisconsin, in the United States, from 1895 until 1970. This is church door design 861, from page 145 of the catalog. Design 860, a similarly shaped plank door, is also available. Wilbur Lumber Company noted that this was an idea for a church door, and if you had a different design or size in mind, you could contact them and their designers would make something to your specifications. I, too, can perform this service. I'm always interested in hearing what people would like to see!
