Legate Interceptor Starfighter

Description

The Legate Interceptor is one of the earliest aerospace fighter designs produced. Previous craft were restricted to one environment or the other, maneuverable atmospheric craft without the power to operate in space and space fighters that could only operate in zero-G. This environmental inflexibility was taken for granted, the appearance of a craft that could rapidly move from orbit to atmosphere alone was a war changing development. The Legate capitalized on this by dint of it's rapid speed and maneuverability in both mediums. While smaller and weaker than contemporaries, this ability allowed the Legate flights to defeat far larger forces with ease. Primitive and under-armed by modern standards, the simplicity, speed, and capability of it's triple medium range energy weapons has kept it in service along the frontiers for centuries and likely will continue to do so for years to come. This is an original interpretation and construction, inspired by ships in several series. A usable stand-in for various 6mm games The Legate is scaled for 6mm maps. Included are a clean version, a version with peg hole and hex base.
