El HK416 es un fusil de asalto fabricado por la empresa alemana Heckler & Koch. Está basado en la plataforma AR-15, pero utiliza un sistema de pistón de gas de carrera corta (similar al del HK G36), lo que mejora su fiabilidad y reduce la acumulación de carbono en el receptor en comparación con el sistema de impacto directo de gases del AR-15 original.
