Hi I created this set of building blocks for all 3D‑printer owners who enjoy experimenting and playing with exciting new ways of putting things together. When I was a child, I loved playing with the Danish Tekno engineering toy (similar to the English/French Meccano sets). I could build fantastic cranes, tractors, and other exciting mechanical constructions. I was also able to experiment with my own ideas. Later, I used the Danish BILOfix system because it allowed me to build larger structures. I suppose I thought that “bigger is better” at that time. Many, many years later, I got my own 3D printer (a BIBO FDM printer) and started wondering whether I could use these new possibilities to create my own building kit. I had some ideas about how to connect the blocks in a strong, stable, yet flexible way. Another important criterion was to use standard plastic pipes and filament, making it easy to build large and inexpensive constructions. After quite a lot of sketching, I modelled the building blocks in SolidWorks and printed them one by one. Many attempts and tests later, I have achieved most of what I hoped for and am proud to present the He‑Ideas building set. I have played and experimented with it extensively and still keep discovering new ways to combine the many blocks. Happy downloading and have fun! :-) Bjorn Heide He-Ideas webpage: https://he-ideas.weebly.com/ The video links below shows how to assemble some of the modules from the 'He-Ideas' mechanical building set…
