Fluffy Hens by Donya Quick

Description

Two types of fluffy hens, feathered feet (cochins) and regular feet, each in a couple different poses. Supported versions are provided for 1in/25mm models. I tried to sculpt these so the feathers would show up well even on small models with a simple base coat, light drybrush, and shading wash. These models will stand on their own on flat surfaces, but may require a base if they will be moved around a lot or placed on uneven surfaces. My Happy Chicken model has a little round base that can be scaled to work with these too. Scaling up: the supported versions will scale up a bit, but consider adding hollowing and drainage holes if doing a significantly bigger model. Scaling down: for printing itty bitty hens like the one on the penny in the example photo (which is 13mm), you don’t need to tilt the models that have their heads up – just do it in standing position and use some light supports on the bottoms of the feet and lower body.
