FERRIS WHEEL HO SCALE

Description

This HO scale (1:87) FERRIS WHEEL can b motorized to turn. I used a stepper motor controlled with an Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller board. The code makes the motor start and stop at random times, as if passengers are getting on and off. Contact me via email and I will send you the code. Depending on your printer, some components may require some minimum minor trimming. The gondola chairs come in two halves that have to be glued together. Paint each of the gondola chairs different colors. Put HO scale sitting figures in the chairs. You will have to drill 36 small holes in the perimeter rings for a sewing pin to be used on the chairs to allow them to swing freely as the wheel turns. I've also included a fence to surround the Ferris Wheel to guide the people. The cross braces require the end to be removed AFTER ASSEMBLY to allow for the space for the gondola chairs. I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (Nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Make a small test for yourself of two printed pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as a glue on styrene and PLA for years. No sloppy or messy glue to show when finished.
